Teen Mom Recap

Anyone who knows me well .. knows that I am a trash TV addict.
One of my top faves is Teen Mom 2.
PLEASE if you are a Teen Mom 2 fan.. comment. =)
I do not want to talk alone about this.

My opinions on last nights episode.
Janelle - FINALLY! Yes, your boyfriend is an idiot. And you kinda are too. Stick with school and work like you did before. I have a feeling that her "turn around" will last for a whole of 5 mins. Her poor mother. Having Kenzie now I totally get why she keeps letting her back in her home.. but seriously... she just doesn't get it.
Chelsea - She also has a winner for a boyfriend. He talks to Aubree like she really comprehends what he means.. and thrashes her around. Duh! You should have had your Dad there after your surgery. Adam will never be the guy you want him to be.. get over it. He's not even cute.
Kailyn - You should of told your Mom before you moved out. It would have been okay.. instead of just taking all of her furniture and leaving.
Leah - My heart was breaking when her cutie baby had to have her MRI... BrEakIng. .. there may have been tears.. I just love that little peanut.

What did you think of last nights episode?

Goodbye 2011

This has been a great year for The Morris Family and we can't wait to see what 2012 will bring.
- I finished school and earned my Associates of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology
- I got my first job at a veterinarians office
- We found out we were prego
- We found out we were having a girl :)
- Redecorated a room for the baby
- We had our beautiful Kenzie Lee
- Jason's photobooth business continued to thrive
- Jason is down to ONE more semester of school
- We put a bid in on our FIRST house.. fingers crossed

With the good also came the trials..
- We lost my Nana at the beginning of the year
- Kenzie had high levels of jaundice and it was traumatizing for me to have to see her in pain when they drew her blood EVERY day for a week. Now I know what people mean when they wish they could take the pain of their children away. So devastating for me. I know it's super common for newborns but it really broke my little heart.
-Being a Mom.. this is a blessing and a trial.
A trial because I often feel that I'm not doing "things" right..
Am I feeding her enough? Does she need to be on a strict schedule? Why does she have cradle cap? Should I let her cry it out? Is it okay to give her some formula?
I hope I'm not the only one. I am just now starting to feel like I'm getting the hang of it.

We really have been blessed this year and hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
xoxo

Our Weekend in Photos

1. We walked around Cindy Lane (a neighborhood with festive lights).. well drove.
We tried walking but with 2 dogs and a baby it was NOT fun.
Especially if your baby is hungry and screaming.
2. Played with this cutie in her Christmas leg warmers :)
3. Our tree is finally decorated & SOME of the presents are wrapped

What did you do this weekend?

Awkward & Awesome Wednesday

awkward
- a woman pulling a cellphone out of her bra at our ward's Christmas party. Don't get me wrong - it's a nice stash spot.. but at the church Christmas party?

- Women wearing leggings/jeggings... that result in less than desirable visuals. EVERYONE knows what I am talking about
- Playing the "no, you go." *hand wave* "no, you go." *hand wave* with pedestrians as you are driving in a parking lot

Awesome
- Baby girl smiling up a storm lately
- Jason being done with this semester in T-minus 1 day :) I'm SUPER excited about this
- Long showers.. any mom knows this is really awesome
- Setting up our little Christmas tree. It's still not decorated but it's a start

Tasty Tuesday; Easy Sugar Cookies

..I decided to bake sugar cookies. Honestly, the only cookies that ever come out for me are the pre-packaged kind..but these tasted pretty good. They were nothing to write home about, but they were edible which is always an accomplishment for me.

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets (I greased mine).
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

Our Weekend in Photos

1. Tired baby after her first set of shots. More traumatic for Mom than for baby.
2. Lunch date with Dad
3. Smiley girl even after her shots
4. Showing off her cute Christmas bow at the ward Christmas party.

We had a good weekend.
Things will be even better once school is out this week.
I will finally have a husband.

Awkward & Awesome Wednesday

AWKWARD
I don't even know what to say... is the person sitting a man, woman, or alien?

What's with the galaxy motif?
And the cat?

- Almost eating it face first into horse poop while taking family pictures... there was a hole.. i swear
- I am a fan of some PDA.. but there is some PDA that should never happen. Especially in a booth of Red Robin. I wanted to pry my eyeballs out.. but yet I couldn't stop staring.
- Walking out of a building seeing two cop cars.. while stating loudly "What'd I miss?" only to look closer and see a man being arrested in the middle of the street.. oops hope he didn't hear me..

AWESOME
Epic. That is all.
Don't worry I would never do this to Kenzie.

- Date night with hubby that involved a free dinner via his work holiday party
- Ordering Kenzie some awesome bows and flowers.. yes, this makes the list. Don't worry pictures will be shared.
- Netflix. I may have spent an entire day watching Season 1 of The Vampire Diaries.. Team Damon for sure. Anyone else watch this show?

Tasty Tuesday; Potatoes Au Gratin

Yes.. another potato recipe. If you like "funeral potatoes" you will love these.
I may, or may not.. make a huge batch on Sundays and eat it throughout the week.
This was in my Mother-in-law, Sheila's recipe book made by my sister-in-law Kristin..who got it from her Aunt Barbara..get it?

Ingredients
5 TBSP margarine
6 TBSP chopped onions
7 TBSP flour
2 tsp salt
dash of pepper
3 c of milk
8 large potatoes (boiled with skins on)
4 c grated cheese

Melt butter in saucepan. Add onion and cook slowly for 5 minutes. Blend in flour; remove from heat. Add salt and pepper and stir in milk. Cook slowly, stirring until thick. Add cheese, reserving some cheese for the topping. Stir until the cheese is melted. Grease a baking dish. Peel potatoes and slice. Layer potatoes (I usually do 2 layers) and sauce. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until bubbly.

Super Yummy! What's your favorite potato recipe?

2 months

Our little boogie is 2 months old... can you believe it? I can't.
Kenzie has started sleeping through the night this past week.
Can I just say.. heaven! I'm so happy to get 4-7 hours of straight sleep.
She smiles all the time. And has started to talk.
She LOVES her bath time. She can be screaming her head off and as soon as she's in the warm water she is a perfect little angel.
Kenzie also loves her rattle... she follows it around when we shake it.
Baby Einstein = baby crack. She will watch it for 10 mins which is a BIG deal for her.
Kenzie is a CUDDLE bug. She prefers to be held rather then being put in her bouncer.
Her changing table is another favorite spot of hers. It's very strange.. but she loves it.
She is wearing 3-6 month clothes. THREE to SIX month... she's only 2 months old. I wish clothing were more accurate that way I didn't have to feel so depressed about her growing up.

Our little K has really been a great baby. We really are blessed to have her. She has taught me so much already and I can't wait to see her grow. . . . just not too fast.

Awkward & Awesome Wednesday

awkward
- I finally went to see Breaking Dawn (I really liked it). As I was standing in line to get a ticket. I feel a tap on my shoulder. Expecting to see someone I know, I turn around. Enter 3 young-ish guys around 18-20. I should also say these were pretty awkward fellas. .. they got even more awkward when the guy who tapped me says this, "Umm..you have a sticker on your leg" *I grab for one leg* "No, the other one.. sorry this is really awkward. I wasn't like looking or anything.. well I was, but yeah". I thanked him and turned right back around. (The day before I bought a new pair of jeans at Old Navy & had left the sticker on the back of the leg). Enter Face Palm to forehead.. so embarrassing walking around telling the world what size pants I wear.. seriously.. I have a 2 month old at home.. shouldn't that be an excuse? Anyways.. we still had to stand in line so that was even more awkward I just wanted to run away.. Then, it got even more awkward.. I hear the guys still talking "I'm like a ninja always aware of my surroundings."

Yes, in fact.. things can always get more awkward.

awesome
- My little boogie girl sleeping from 8pm to 7:30am.. Yes, a good nights sleep for mama will ALWAYS make the awesome list
- Putting in an offer on our very FIRST HOME.. it's a short sale so I'm not holding my breath but it's still exciting
- Jacob Black.. I think Bella is an idiot for choosing Edward. She's obviously materialistic.. and obviously I'm very shallow (Jacob is way more attractive.. duh)
Side note: Am I the only one who loved Edward in the books, but love Jacob in the movies?

Tasty Tuesday; Cheesy Chicken

I experimented with the crockpot tonight...Kind of a scary thing. I didn't get a picture of the finished product (I forgot) but here's the recipe anyways. I honestly wasn't a huge fan, but that didn't stop me from eating it.. maybe too much cream. However the hubs said he liked it.

So here's the recipe if you want to give it a try.
Or if you have suggestions for other chicken crockpot recipes let me know :)

Cheesy Chicken
Chicken (I had some tenders, but breasts would work too)
1 can cream of chicken
1/4 c sour cream
1/4 to 1 c cheese of your choice
pepper
salt

Cook on high for 2-3 hours or until chicken is fully cooked.
SIDE NOTE: I would recommend cooking on low for a longer period of time but I just didn't have the time.
Serve over pasta or rice. TA-DA!

Awkward & Awesome Wednesday

Awkward
- Being offered a high-chair from the Wal-Mart cashier..
Nice gesture.. but creepy

- Having a gassy baby.. and having people stare at YOU

- Realizing you have eaten an entire container of oreos in 2 days..

by yourself
this also kinda qualifies as awesome.
Just not for my figure

Awesome

- Kenzie sleeping from 1am to 8am
She also slept in her bassinet during this time & not in OUR bed

- Starting to look for our first HOME together =)

(I totally judge a house on where I can picture a Christmas tree)

Tasty Tuesday; Cheesy Potato Rounds

(picture via pinterest)

Like many of us I am completely addicted to Pinterest.
My problem is I have tons of pins but haven't attempted any of the 'pins'.
Yesterday.. for the first time.. I did.

Cheesy Potato Rounds
2-4 large potatoes
About 1/4 cup butter
Bacon (optional)
Cheese (optional)
Green onions (optional)

Super easy..
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Wash & clean potatoes.. cut into slices (thin or thick)
Melt butter in the microwave and coat each side of the potato
Cook for about 30-40mins
Remove potatoes
Add fixings
Return to oven for 3-5mins
Dab a side of sour cream on your plate
Enjoy!

I think this would be an easy side for a potluck (and cheap).

A Name & A Blessing

On November 13, 2011 little Miss Kenzie Lee Morris received a beautiful blessing given by her daddy. We were very grateful to have some family in town to share this special moment with us and our baby girl. It was so sweet to see our little baby surrounded by all of those people that are so important in our lives and who wanted to share their love with us on such a special occasion. Thanks Shawn and Marti for flying out!! And Jason's dad Jim was here from Dubai (the first time in a year) so we were really blessed he was able to be a part of her blessing.

This was also the first time my brothers had seen our lil' peanut and it was so neat to see them interact with Kenzie. My mom was even awesome enough to make Kenzie's blessing dress. Unfortunately it was a little cold and for the pictures you couldn't really see it's cuteness.

Pinterest Picks

This year for Christmas burlap is totally in.
I have to admit...
I love it.
I'm literally drooling over all of the burlap stockings I have seen.

What do you think? Do you like the burlap trend?

Church

I've been in primary for almost 3 years serving as the pianist. Every year we have a primary program where the kids sing the songs they've learned that year. It's almost always in October. Needless to say I wasn't able to play the piano this year but I made sure to attend the program. I loved it. It's really rewarding to be in primary and see the kids progress. And not to mention the lessons are a little more my speed and easy to understand.
This was also Kenzie's first Sunday at church so we took a picture to document it.

The Pumpkin Patch

We wanted to take Kenzie to the pumpkin patch in hopes of getting some cute pictures. Our plan was foiled.. she was asleep. And anyone that has/had a newborn knows that you should NOT wake them up :) So we walked around for 10mins -- debated on the perfect pumpkin & snapped a few shots.

First Pictures

I finally gave in to taking some family pictures.
I know one day I'll regret waiting a few weeks but honestly the pictures of me from the hospital are SCARY. So this was our first official family "shoot".

As you can see she's pretty darn cute. Of course, she loves us... ignore the screaming face. .. I swear she really loves us.
I love her little Halloween onesie.. it says "Daddy thinks I'm purrrfect"and it's totally true. This little girl already has her daddy wrapped around her finger.

Kenzie Lee Morris

Born October 3rd 2011 @ 5:36am
7lbs 11oz
20 inches long

The birth story:
October 1st I decided to do stair steppers and curb hopping to help induce labor. I was so sick of being pregnant and was determined to get her out.
October 2nd @ 4am I bolted out of bed and thought I had peed on myself. I debated for 10mins whether it was my water breaking. We decided it would be best to just go in to Kaiser and be checked out by a doctor. So we frantically ran around making sure we had everything (in the craziness I actually put my pants on backwards). We drove over to Kaiser and waited to be checked by a doctor. He informed me that my water had in fact BROKE (remember this for later). I was barely dilated barely 1/2 a cm -- so I was in for a long wait for our little girl. We got situated in a room with IVs and such. They said if my contractions didn't become more regular they would hook me up to pitocin to get things going. After a few hours my contractions were still coming every 2 minutes then every 8 minutes then every 5 minutes, so as you guessed it I got hooked up to pitocin. My contractions started to come harder and were getting uncomfortable. They didn't want to check my progress until I was ready for an epidural because of the risk of infection due to my water breaking. However one of my lovely nurses (loved them all but one but we will come back to her) suggested since my contractions were becoming more regular and I was getting uncomfortable that she would check me for progress. After being in "labor" for almost 10 hours I was ONLY at 1.5cms AND my water was in fact STILL intact. Apparently you can have a small bag of waters up high or in front (not sure about that). I'm not exactly sure but it made me mad that the initial doctor who examined me did not mention this. Enter a very emotional Chelsea. I felt like a failure & cried & cried. After she checked me I opted to have another dose of fentanyl (I had already had one earlier to take the edge off) to avoid being pinned in my bed for the rest of the labor process. It didn't help much and I quickly told my nurse I was ready for my epidural. They got me hooked up and I was expecting to get relief within 30mins but that didn't quite happen. My left side was completely numb.. dead to the world. My right side was still pretty aware of feeling and there was a spot in the middle of my abdomen which still had FULL feeling.. and of course that's where I was feeling the contractions the most. I hated life at this point and thought for sure I was dying. Keep in mind I had gone a whole day and was only at 1.5cm and in the most pain I'd had in my entire life. I seriously commend anyone who goes through child birth without the help of drugs. I was hysterical with every contraction.. crying.. moaning.. groaning..making a spectacle of myself. Jason was so great the entire time. He held my hand, tried to help me get comfortable, got me ice when I needed it. I love him. Anyways.. then there was a shift change - Enter stupid new nurse. Who proceeded to basically relay that "these weren't big contractions" and that I needed to not give into the pain, blah blah blah. I did NOT like her. I kept calling in the anesthesiologist who I actually really liked telling him that I didn't think the epidural was working because I was still in the same amount of pain as BEFORE the epidural. He explained that sometimes when the epidural is threaded it veers off to one side. Usually flipping from one side of your body to the other can distribute the drugs but it wasn't working in my case. And if topping off the epidural drugs wasn't working that redoing the epidural would be the next step. Around 1am the doctor on duty came in to check me. I was still in my crazy uncomfortable stage. She checked me at I was dilated to 4cm - progress finally. She went ahead and ruptured my water and informed meany nurse that she needed to call anesthesiology because if I continued as I was I would be exhausted by the time delivery came along. Meany nurse said she would go ahead and call him. A few minutes later a new nurse walks in and says she is replacing meany nurse -- I was THRILLED. My anesthesiologist came back in and between my new nurse Lori and Jason they were able to prop me up over a table so that I wasn't shaking. After the second epidural I went numb on both sides EVENLY. I still felt the contractions but I was able to rest. My new nurse stayed with me because Meany nurse was helping with an emergency c-section. NO PROBLEM. Seriously, she was annoying. We figured I wouldn't be delivering on her shift that ended at 7am because of my slow progress but around 3am she checked me again and I was 8.5cm. And a little while after I was ready to push. I was so numb from the epidural that Lori decided that the "pushing" would be easier if she disconnected my epidural but reassured me that it would not go back to the pain I was in before. I pushed for about an hour (easier than I had thought) and then Kenzie joined our family. I was surprised that I didn't cry when they put her on my chest but it was just so surreal. I had carried her for 9 months and she was finally here. They took her over to clean her off and do their normal procedures. It was amazing seeing Jason and my Mom so touched by Kenzie and I know she will be nothing but a blessing to us all.
We love you Kenzie Lee. <3

Dear Baby Girl #2

Dear Baby Girl,

You have been cookin' for about 31 weeks. And in the past few weeks you have flopped around, punched, kicked, and made your presence very known. Remember that 3D ultrasound I talked about last time.. well we went.. and for the 2nd time you did NOT want to show us much of anything. I'm hoping this stubbornness of yours does not last outside the womb. I love playing games with you already.. you tend to have either your feet/hands near my ribs so we push against each other and I chase your cute little self around my belly. I think your Dad and I have finally decided on a name for you.. but you never know. I haven't had too many cravings lately besides the usual -- red robin fries with ranch & lately Tomos special chicken salad. As we speak you are fussing around in my belly, but I will tell you it's an awesome feeling. I know I said it before but really -- I'm SO excited to meet you. Oh, your dad has been hard at work putting your baby furniture together. He was very dedicated - He loves your rocker. I catch him in there rockin' by himself. (I know he's just as anxious to meet you as me). Anyways.. we will see you in hopefull around 8-9weeks. LOVE YOU.

xoxo

28 Weeks Prego

12 more weeks to go.
Can't wait to meet this baby girl.

Where am I?

Dear Fresno,

You are seriously becoming VERY strange or the people are. Or maybe it's the heat of the summer.

Example 1: Not 1 but 2 people at Target stopped me.. said "i know you don't work here... but" and they proceed to ask me where certain items are located. NO I was not wearing red.. I was very confused.
Example 2: Free slurpee day.. people are ghetto. I go to the 7-11 near my house... and of course there is a sign "no more free slurpees" - what the crap? are you serious? Anyways.. picture dozens of wannabe gangster boys..running in filling up slurpee cups and running out - NOT PAYING.
Example 3: I meet my Aunt at Chik-fil-a for lunch (yummmmm)... after parking we go to cross the parking lot and a crazy soccer mom jams by almost hitting us. Seriously I'm 7 months prego... you can't miss me. All for a parking spot right in front.. and of course, she was in line right in front of us.

Needless to say I was excited to come home & drink my slurpee poolside.

xoxo

Super Excited!

.....is it sad that I'm desperately looking forward to Wednesday?

Tuesday, July 5, 2011

Dear Baby Girl #1

Dear Baby Girl,

I had your 26 week in the womb "check-up" today. You were not happy about the doctor poking around for your heartbeat... you kicked her twice. We got a clean bill of health, but the doctor wants mom to watch her "intake" because ever since you have stopped making me sick all the time, I've had a hard time not putting food in my mouth. You've def started to become more active & I get really excited every time you do. I think it's funny when Daddy wants to feel for you and you refuse to do anything. I think it's because you'll be a mommy's girl.. I hope. Your dad loves you too. He gets mad when I poke at you to move.. already protecting you. I feel sorry for your future husband. Yesterday dad and I went shopping to try and find a nursery theme, but your mom is def not an interior decorator. I keep telling Dad we have plenty of time.. but truth be told you'll be here in 14 weeks, give or take. Last night I told your Dad that I wish there were "color" 3D ultrasound so I can see what color hair you will have (if you have any) and get a better idea of the cuteness I have cookin' in my tummy.

I love you my little girl.

xoxo

Pregnancy Dreams

disclaimer: i have always had really vivid, in depth dreams.. always.
BUT
pregnancy has brought on a whole different level of "strangeness" as I toss and turn, and have extremely interrupted sleep.

Don't you hate those "real" dreams? The ones where you wake up & are literally shaken up because you feel like it really happened? I had one last night. Usually, it's about losing Jason somehow. AND it scares me.

The one thing I do enjoy after these ridiculous thoughts of my deep subconscious is how much I appreciate what I have after them. I always hug him a little closer in the morning after the nightmares, and tell him about them.. he tells me I'm silly & my dreams are crazy.

good to know.. have you had any scary real dreams?

Happy Saturday!

AWESOME is finding giftcards from 2 Christmases ago...
going to Macy's and getting everything you wanted (well.. kinda) from MAC for $7.
I picked up these guys today...
Eyeshadow - Brule; Just a basic highlighter/lid color but very pretty

Eyeshadow - Bronze; I tried this on at the store and liked it better there. Still super pretty, but I'm not sure I LOVE it as much as I thought I would.

Finally, Mac's Fix +
I LOVE THIS STUFF! I have used similar products before but I think this is my new favorite.

What are your go to/favorite new products?

What's for dinner?

I wanted to experiment with a marinade for chicken.
After looking at various reasons, I decided...
it's chicken, what's the worse that can happen???

Easy Chicken Marinade for the BBQ
  • Boneless skinless chicken breasts (I used 2)
  • 1/2 bottle Italian dressing
  • 1-2 tablespoons of dijon mustard
  • Squirt of honey
I threw the marinade together about 3-4 hours before Jason got home from work. I've been reading about marinading for 24 hours vs. a few hours. So because I didn't think of this yesterday. I went with.. the 3-4 hours & then we threw it on the BBQ. Serve with rice & salad.

It was yummy..
I do wonder what it would of been like if I had put the marinade on for 24 hours.

24 weeks + 2 days

I am obsessed with food.. more than before.
I love me some Chik-fil-a.
Baby girl has been on the move lately.
I'm slowly realizing I'm going to be a mom.. and I'm scared and excited all at the same time.
Mostly, I can't wait to meet our little girl.
Have a great week everyone! It's back to work for this girl.

Hunger Games...

Let's have a chat.
I started reading the hunger games back in December.. I have yet to read the 3rd. For anyone that has read the book you are prob thrilled that they are making a movie. I mean, after I read Twilight I was excited about the movies.. until they came out. Srsly. I hated the majority of the cast... I envisioned Edward.. well to be a lot more attractive then what's his face.
I'm sorry but I do NOT find him attractive, and when he took his shirt off.. please put it back on.

back to the hunger games.. they have cast Peeta & Gale. I am totally team Gale. No offense Peeta, it's not like i DON'T like you, but I just love Peeta.
Although they aren't exactly what I pictured while reading... it seems that this cast meets my "standards" a little bit better.

Meet Peeta

Meet Gale
I guess I will just have to wait until the release date to
see if they can live up to my viewing expectations.

What team are you on? And what do you think of the casting?

Fails and Triumphs

Fail...
7-11's slurpees being liquid instead of FROZEN.

Triumph..
getting my rings cleaned.

What were your triumph's and fails for the day?

Better Prego Picture

Yes, I'm kinda sticking out my stomach.
Yes, my bathroom is messy.
Yes, I may have gained 10lbs in 4 weeks
BUT
in my defense I lost 18lbs due to morning sickness.

My new love <3
Seriously... I may have to become a consultant.

23 weeks prego

Don't mind the bad lighting & vacuum in the background.
Jason says I have to take a better picture so I'll try to do that tomorrow.

Crispy Onion Chicken & potatoes

dinner tonight...

Crispy Onion Chicken - serving size 2 people

3 chicken tenders (i like this serving size better)
1/2 cup French's crunchy onion's (crush in a ziplock baggie)
dijon mustard

- Coat the chicken (both sides) with dijon mustard (you can use as much or as little as you want). Tonight I didn't use very much and I wish I would have.
- Dip chicken in crushed crunchy onions
- Place in a foil lined pan
- Cook @ 375 degrees for approximately 20-25mins

Easy Garlic Potatoes - serving size 2-3 people

1 Tbsp. butter/margarine (I may use olive oil next time)
3 small potatoes
garlic salt to taste
parsley

Melt butter in a skillet. Add potatoes & then garlic salt. Continously stir for 15-18mins.
I prefer a little more "crisp" so I went with about 18-20mins.
5 mins before I served the potatoes I added another pinch of garlic salt
and
right before I served it I added a dash of parsley.

I'm trying to become "domestic" so I'll be posting my dinner trial & errors...Jason is impressed with my 2 home cooked dinners in a row..

SUMMER is here..

For all you non-Fresnan's consider yourself LUCKY this time of year... it went from pouring down rain to 85 degrees today & the 7-day forecast has even hotter days coming. Every summer I consider my decision to live in Fresno, but I just love it so much, it's home.
I will say this summer may be worse for me considering I am currently in my 2nd trimester.. and shortly will be in my 3rd trimester. I can already tell I will be miserable.

Baby news... It's a GIRL! Yay! We are super excited. Last week my mom and brother came to town and we stripped a spare room of 2 layers of wallpaper & painted it a nice neutral white/yellow color. I love it! But I am def having a block on how to decorate further. We are replacing the blinds at some point.Today is one of my day's off and I have throughly enjoyed it.

I slept in.
Went grocery shopping.
Got my "tan" on
painted my nails
did SOME housework
and
we are going to BBQ for dinner

RANCH BURGERS
- 1/2lb-1lb ground beef (more if you have a bigger family)
- 1 packet hidden valley ranch dry mix
- salt & pepper
- cheese (we add on the BBQ)

Mix all of the ingredients together... BBQ and enjoy =)
