My awesome mother-in-law Sheila bought us a gingerbread house kit and tonight we decided to put it together.. it was pretty much a disaster. Over frosting the door, roofs falling off.. Jason eating all the candy.

But it was fun to design our own little house. And then of course I took pictures of our babies.

Today for Jason's "pre-birthday bash" we went to the Fresno Car Show.

It was pretty neat to sit in expensive cars and pretend that we could afford them.

What a Cruel Reality

... so it's been 7 months since Jason and I got married...

And in that 7 months.. most of my jeans have decided to "shrink"

Every week I watch the BIGGEST LOSER and think to myself

Then I think about what would happen if I got pregnant... and I came to the conclusion that I would end up being a CONTESTANT on The Biggest Loser.

As I was blog stalking today I came upon a great idea from Brianna. I often find myself shopping for new clothes, because I don't fit in the same things (wedding weight.. not baby weight... embarasssssssing) or I'm getting bored of the same outfits. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I want to host a swap don't shop party at my house. On Brianna's blog she mentioned swapping recipes as well, which seems pretty awesome for most of us newlywed couples. Maybe if I can get some easy cheap recipes Jason and I can stop living off of In-n-Out .

Why Didn't I Know About This Before??

A few weeks ago, Jason was on one of his many photobooth adventures. Our cable was out and I was BORED... I saw Season 2 of LOST and thought I would try it out. I was addicted. That was 2 weeks ago, we are now on the last two discs of Season 4 and I cannot wait to watch the rest.

One reason I Love it... this man here.

I have been in school for 3 years... 2 classes away from finishing my GE's.. and I don't want to.

I have NO IDEA what I want to major in.. what I want to do for the rest of my life...

It's very frustrating. Here are some of my crazy ideas... some not so crazy.

- Real Estate

- Vet Tech (no $$ but very rewarding)

- Communications (not sure what I would do with this)

- Nursing?? (Everyone's doing it)

In reality, what I would love to do is start a non-profit animal rescue. Like I have said previously I am volunteering for a Golden Retriever Rescue and it breaks my heart when I have to do shelter visits.. and have to say "sorry, you're not a golden.." too ALL of the dogs.. this happens about every visit and once in a blue moon I get to pull one from the shelter. I want to make a difference in animals lives. Some say it's silly... but I can't explain how drawn I am to this.

Anyways, my husband puts up with my antics and for that I feel blessed. I just wish I could find a balance between 'nutty dog lady' and a career bound woman.

Sorry to rant... and if anyone understand what I'm going through.... ADVICE PLEASE?!?!?!

I helped save the lives of two dogs last week from certain death at the SPCA.

Riley & Tucker. Jason and I fell in love with Riley, even though he will never admit it.
He said the only way we could of kept him is if we traded Abby in. NO WAY!

a Minor Setback ~

I'm not sure who else in California knows, but all CSU campuses have stopped Spring '10 admissions. That just so happens to be the semester that both Jason and I were hoping to enroll in. Where does that leave us?

It's not as bIG of a deal for me, as I could easily have another semester at the J.C out here, but Jason is stuck with no classes to take as he has already finished all the GE's for the accounting program. This means our "plan" is going to be 6 months behind because he may have to take a semester off.

My Dream Come True

Anyone that knows me really well knows that I am an ANIMAL FREAK! I always hoped for the pony under the Christmas tree. Well, recently I was able to start horseback riding something I used to do my freshman year of high school. It's been really fun, and given me something to do while Jason works on his photobooth business. 

I have fallen in love with DeDe. 

Hoping Jason will give her to me this Christmas, but hey, what girl wouldn't wish for that. 

Our Washington Getaway

                A few weeks ago Jason and I got the chance to leave Fresno and travel 

up to beautiful Seattle, Washington. From this trip I've learned two things.

1. I'm awful at taking pictures of anything going on in our lives.

 2. Jason and I   n e v e r  take pictures together.

    Pike Place Market... where they throw the fish.

I had an excuse to see ICE AGE 3 with the Leavitt's!!!!

   Almost the whole family on 4th of July.

Eating some BOMB strawberry lemonade ice cream. 

I was very sad when we went back the next day and they were all out.

Other events that were not photographed include Jason horseback riding :) A trip to the Seattle Aquarium. A tour of the underground in Seattle (awesome stories). Spending time lounging around. Watching transformers, and spending lots of time with family.

We had a GREAT time and cannot wait to get back there sometime soon.

The Summer Begins.....

I figured that it has been long enough since my last post.

A few days ago I went to R O S S (one of my favorite bargain stores), and to my delight they had puppy dog dresses for a very good price. So of course I had to buy one for Abby. I let Jason know that Abby had a surprise for him when he got home from work. He sent me this picture of her while I was at work with the quote:

The Honeymoon -- Cruise to Mexico

Okay, so I have finally got around to honeymoon pictures. Sorry there aren't many, I forgot the camera many times and even when we did I disappointed myself with not taking pictures. For the honeymoon we took a 4-day cruise that left port in San Diego, then made a stop at Catalina Island & then Ensenada, Mexico.

One reason I really enjoyed our cruise was our nightly ice cream/shirley temple runs. It was very nice having access to anything we could need within a 5 minute walk. We also had dining near a really awesome LDS couple and their 3 kids it was always entertaining. Also, by the end of the week all of our waiters/bartenders knew our orders and taste. It was not worrying about what we are going to cook for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We had a great time on our cruise and have decided to try to go on a new one   e v e r y   year. We will see if that happens. I would really like to try the Caribbean cruise, maybe some day. 

Hubby's Loss is Wifey's Gain :)

I want to take a moment to express the    g r e a t   loss we experienced today. Jason's other love, his LEXUS was sold. However, due to this I was able to finally buy a new phone a Blackberry Curve. I was really excited, but we are very sad to have parted with the pretty blue luxury vehicle. Perhaps we will see a similar one in another 20 years!! I know Jason is hoping we do. Okay I'm not going to lie, I want a BMW (I know very vain of me).
